Aroquiaradj Gervais – Innovation Architect, LNG Product Line

Aroquiaradj graduated from the ENSIC (French graduate school for chemical industries) in Nancy and holds a PhD in process engineering obtained at the National polytechnic institute of Lorraine. 

He joined Total in 1992 as a process research and technical support engineer for refineries. He then held the roles of petrochemical process engineer and cogeneration project engineer at the Feyzin refinery, before being seconded to the SIR (Ivorian refining company) as Manager of the Processes department.

He joined the Exploration & Production branch in 2003 as a study engineer, and, among other things, coordinated the engineering of an innovative Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) plant with microchannel reactors for R&D. He then became Manager of the Process department in Total Exploration & Production Indonesia and Process Group Leader for Angola, Congo and North Africa.

After a series of cross-functional assignments as a process expert, he was made Head of the Engineering and Commissioning department in Total Exploration & Production Congo.

In 2017, he entered the LNG Product line as a petroleum architect; his work focuses on the innovative topics of LNG architecture and offshore ship-to-ship LNG transfer.
